Convened during the 2008 Democratic National Convention, this meeting brought together former heads of state and cabinet-level ministers to help inform the UNDP and NDI on how best to provide assistance to women leaders at the highest levels of government. As Secretary General of the Council of Women World Leaders, Liswood was invited to participate in order to offer recommendations on partnerships and support mechanisms that will help more women access and succeed in executive decision-making positions, particularly in developing countries. The breakfast was a part of NDI’s International Leader’s Forum at the National Democratic Convention, 2008.
